Self Care begins with recognizing your own needs.

Our brain loves the familiar! That’s why we get stuck into bad habits. Our brain loves to tell us:

  • I don’t have time for this…

  • I don’t have energy…

  • I don’t have the will…

Let’s begin with optimizing your brain learning!

Where is your “core survival need” not being met? In other words, what area in your life are you not paying attention?

  • Is it food? - it affects the brain …

  • Is it exercise?- it affects the brain …

  • Is it sleep?- it affects the brain …

Once you identify it, focus on that thing right away!

Add a habit for each area that is needed, and keep building on top of one habit, for example, say you are not eating well, begin to food prep your meals, then work on grocery shopping where you purchase more whole nutritional food, as legumes and vegetables. Plan your week ahead of time, and prep at least your breakfast and lunch a day before. Get creative and don’t ignore your core survival needs.

Next, this is a fun one, schedule a “Monthly Day-Date” for yourself!

Schedule a lovely day that is different from your daily routine once a month. Make a point to go check out an Art Gallery, followed by a back message or facial, and a walk in your favorite park or take yourself to the beach depending where you live, packing yourself the most delicious picnic basket and end your day with a nourishing Vegan Vegetarian dinner, something that it is out of your comfort zone and towards adding fuel to your body, calming your nervous system with a happy tummy!
